Miss. Christy

Miss. Christy has worked with Walden Child Care since February 2022. She is a Level 1 early childhood educator, and is currently in school pursuing her Level 3. She’s always loved connecting with children, and has worked with them for over 20 years in different areas, including having her own home daycare as her children were growing up and working in the childcare field before and after her home daycare.

The curiosity and wonderment that children naturally have and see the world through is something that attracted her to working with children, as well as helping support their emotional awareness and growth. She has an extensive background in music as a classical flute player for over 10 years and loves music in general. She recently moved to Calgary from Winnipeg and is excited to continue to learn what many activities and opportunities Calgary has to offer and explore.

In her spare time Christy loves to learn about the world through reading, hanging out with her teenage boys, painting, being out in nature and continues to explore her interest in interior design.
