Janet St. Germain

Janet is a certified Level 3 Early Childhood Educator with over 30 years of experience in early childhood education, with management experience in five centres. She owns three child care centres in Calgary and has been owning and operating since 1999. She is adamant about professional development and keeping up with current practice. Janet maintains a firm belief that establishing a positive, healthy, stimulating and creative learning environment for children requires the engagement and of all parties—the children, the families and the educators; gathering feedback and responding to suggestions or concerns to ensure that everyone’s needs are met.

Andréa St. Germain

Andréa is a dedicated Level 3 Early Childhood Educator who values Reggio-inspired practices and emphasizes the significance of continuous professional development and a positive team culture in her approach. With a background spanning 10 years in the field, including five years as a program director and three years as an owner and operator, she brings a wealth of practical experience to her work.

In 2018, Andréa graduated from the University of Victoria's Child and Youth Care program, specializing in Early Years education. Through completion of this program, she has broadened her understanding of early childhood development and solidified her belief in the importance of quality early years care, through creating an uplifting work environment and beautiful space for the children to thrive.

In her spare time, Andréa is a keen gravel and road cyclist, and regularly takes ceramics classes. She loves to cook, travel, and spend quality time with her family, friends, and her partner James.
